People ask me

How I know You are real

What is the evidence

That You exist?

And I consider all the ways

You have appeared to men

Revealing Yourself to them

The ways You have made Yourself known

And none of them

Is more captivating

More alluring

Than Your Love

There is nothing quite like it

Words do not carry accurate expression

To describe this Love,

Even they fumble at Its manifestation

Your Love is an all-consuming flame

The Flame that does not go out

Instead, it hums beneath the surface

It sizzles, drawls, never leaving...never leaving

A slow burn

Instead, it flares up, a fiery coal

Lighting up generations in an instant

Blazing from their core

Persisting, existing; never leaving...never leaving

I am fully persuaded

That men could never know Love

Until they know You.
