PART 1: Psalm 90:1-2

Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations…from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

PART 2: Secure attachment

Describes a healthy bond characterised by comfort and independence, a sense of safety and security in all relationships. People with secure attachment are able to accept displays of affection without fear or confusion. They are most commonly warm, loving, seek support, expressive, reliable, trustworthy and have a positive view of themselves.”

PART 3: The Lifter of my head

One of the more commonly used phrases in the Christian faith is that Jesus meets us right where we are but does not leave us there. ‘Your love is too good to leave me here’

This truth is expressed even symbolically in the reality He took on when He came to earth.

He left His magnificent glory in Heaven - we can only imagine the grandeur from reading Revelation - and descended to live among us. On the same earth we like to criticise endlessly.

He did not come as a King either, not whom the Jews and everyone else anticipated. He took the form of a pauper, the one considered least in society. He had no place to lay His head.

This is the state He finds us ~ the literal wretched of the earth. He came down to the level He finds us.

And then;

Just like He ascended on High and was given a Name above all names ~ He elevates us. He calls us to share in His beauty. He calls us His sisters and brothers. Kings and Priests. Both on earth and in eternity.

From ashes to Glory.

In conclusion, our Father defines secure attachment. 😌💜 May we always look to Him even as we wait on these greatest gifts!
